How it works

Five minutes a day. Theory that sticks.

Most theory comes as a textbook or a list of shapes to memorise. Harmony Hound turns it into short games, so you learn by doing and want to come back tomorrow.

1

Pick today's game

The hound picks a daily challenge at your level: name chords, build them, race the clock or catch falling chords.

2

Play

Tap the keys on your phone. Any inversion counts. Got a digital piano? Piano Connect lets you play on real keys.

3

Level up

Earn XP, keep your streak and unlock new keys and harder levels. Every answer explains the why, so the theory sticks.

What's inside

Understand, don't memorise.

Games that stick

Name That Chord, Numbers Rush and Chord Drop turn theory into quick reflexes instead of facts to memorise.

Streaks, XP & levels

A five-minute daily session. New keys and harder levels unlock as you improve.

Piano Connect

Got a digital piano? Plug it in and play every game on real keys, with a live mirror that names whatever you play. Try it free.

One colour language

Every scale degree has its own colour in every key, so patterns jump out before you know the names.

Keys & the circle of fifths

See how each key is built and why its seven chords belong together. Major and minor.

Songs you know

The chord progressions behind real songs, and why they work.

Why it exists
"I'm an adult piano learner. I could play chords, but I didn't understand why they went together, and every resource I found just wanted me to memorise more shapes. So I built what I wished existed: short games that make the theory stick."
Andy, creator of Harmony Hound
Will it work with my setup?

Questions

Good questions.

Is it free?

Yes, during early access. Later there'll be a free version and an optional paid upgrade with extra content. Early access members will hear about it first.

Do I need a piano?

No. Everything plays on your phone's screen. If you have a digital piano, Piano Connect lets you play the games on real keys, with a live mirror that names whatever you play. You can try it free.

How much theory do I need to know?

If you can play a basic chord, you're ready. Harmony Hound starts with what you can already play and builds from there.

Is it an app or a website?

Both. It runs in your browser and can be installed to your home screen like an app. It works offline once installed.

What about my data?

There's no account to create. Your progress stays on your own device. We only ask for your email if you'd like early access and updates.

Is it just for kids?

No. It's built for adults: playful, never childish. If you're a parent learning with your child, or a piano teacher, we'd love to hear from you. Pick that option when you sign up, so we can understand what you'd need.
